Success Stories

The Right Visa Strategy for Your Venue

Standard visas aren't enough for hospitality—we use specialist tools:

  • Hospitality Labour Agreements (HILA)

Access Restaurant (Premium Dining) or Hotel/Accommodation agreements to sponsor Cooks and Managers with a PR pathway—the strongest retention lever.

  • DAMA

For designated regions, unlock roles (e.g., Cook, Restaurant Manager) with concessions on salary/English and a clear path to PR.

  • 482 / 186 / 494

Core pathways for Chefs (MLTSSL) and regional sponsorship.

Kitchen & Culinary:

  • Chef (ANZSCO 351311)
  • Cook (ANZSCO 351411)
  • Pastrycook (ANZSCO 351112)
  • Baker (ANZSCO 351111)

Management & Front-of-House:

  • Restaurant / Café or Restaurant Manager (141111)
  • Hotel or Motel Manager (141311)
  • Accommodation & Hospitality Managers nec (141999)
  • Hotel Service Manager (431411)

What's the difference between sponsoring a Chef and a Cook?

Chef (351311, Cert IV) is on the medium-long term list and has PR pathway. Cook (351411, Cert III) is on the short-term list with no standard PR pathway. DAMA/Labor Agreements are key.

Why can't Restaurant Managers use standard 482 visa?

Most metropolitan areas have removed this occupation; must be in DAMA regions or have Labor Agreements (like Premium Dining).

How to retain Cooks?

Provide PR pathways. Cooks can only achieve this through DAMA or hospitality Labor Agreements. We specialize in this.
