Attention to all those interested in migrating to Australia! The Victorian Government has recently announced that the 2024–2025 financial year’s state nomination Registration of Interest (ROI) process will officially close at 4 PM AEST on Tuesday, 29 April 2025. With the deadline fast approaching, applicants are urged to act quickly.

Victoria remains one of Australia's most popular migration destinations, renowned for its abundant employment opportunities, outstanding education system, and vibrant lifestyle. For the 2024–2025 program year, the Australian Government allocated 5,000 nomination places to Victoria — including 3,000 places for the Subclass 190 visa and 2,000 places for the Subclass 491 visa. Although the full quota has not yet been reached, competition is expected to intensify as the deadline approaches.

Importantly, the Victorian Government has clarified that applicants who have already received a pre-invitation for ROI should not panic — their applications will continue to be processed as usual. Those who have submitted an ROI and are awaiting an invitation still have the chance to be selected before the quotas are exhausted. While this provides some relief, it also means that applicants must ensure their submissions are complete and highly competitive without delay.

If you are planning to apply for Victorian state nomination, now is the time to act! Make sure your ROI submission is completed carefully, your supporting documents are accurate and complete, and that you meet Victoria’s eligibility criteria. For those who are still undecided or feel underprepared, we strongly recommend consulting a professional migration agent immediately to assess your profile and develop the most effective strategy.

The closure of the ROI submission window is not just a deadline reminder — it signals broader changes in the migration landscape. With evolving policies and fluctuating applicant numbers, future requirements and competition for Victorian state nomination could change significantly. Staying informed and planning ahead is crucial for those serious about securing their Australian migration goals.

Time is running out — the 29 April deadline is fast approaching. We hope every aspiring migrant can seize this final opportunity and successfully embark on their new life in Victoria!
